FOR those who like the 1.3-litre Toyota Avanza but yearn for more power, the new 1.5-litre variant is the latest offering in a completely face lifted line-up.

The bigger twin cam VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) engine, gives out 109bhp at 6,000rpm and torque of 141Nm at 4,400rpm. But that is not the only new item in the Avanza 1.5G with a four-speed automatic transmission.

You also get a new sporty front grille design with large bumper which gives a wider appearance and side protection moulting.
For a touch of class, the 1.5G variant has chromed door handles and back door garnish.
