Ron95 Suitable For Toyota And Lexus Vehicles, Says UMW Toyota

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 (Bernama) -- UMW Toyota Motor said on Friday the RON 95 petrol is suitable for use in all Toyota and Lexus vehicles sold by the company.

The exclusive distributor of Toyota and Lexus vehicles in Malaysia said owners of these cars, who are currently using RON 97 petrol, can switch to RON 95 without encountering engine damage or performance loss.

UMW Toyota was responding to questions on the suitability of the new petrol for all vehicles following the government's decision to replace RON 92 petrol with RON 95 from Sept 1, 2009.

Proton X70 SUV open for booking

Proton Holdings Bhd will open bookings for its new sports utility vehicle from tomorrow. The new SUV, which has been named using a new alphanumeric naming convention as the X70 is available for booking for RM1000. The X70 was unveiled to the media at a special media preview held today at the Proton Styling Studio at the Proton Centre of Excellence. Present at the event was Proton chief executive officer Dr Li Chunrong, deputy chief executive officer Datuk Radzaif Mohamed as well as other senior management members.
